As ordered by the Court, we have resumed bargaining with the Union.  However, we are still contesting what we believe are decisions which ignore existing NLRB law with regard to our withdrawal of recognition.

At the bargaining session on Thursday, the union finally accepted many of the proposal from our last, best and final offer made last January, and withdrew many of their proposals. Differences still remain between CNA's positions and FRHG's last, best and final offer, however.

FRHG also takes issue with CNA's characterization of its union security proposal as one allowing nurses to choose whether to join or pay dues. Their latest proposal does allow current employees to have a choice, but would not allow any nurses hired after any agreement that might be reached to have a choice--they would be required to join or at least pay dues. That is quite a difference. If they believe as they say that they can convince the nurses of CNA's merits, that would seem to apply to all nurses, present and future.
